NetEase gathers two types of information about users.

In certain function of Mail Master -for example, while logining for the E-mail software service a user is asked to provide personal information such as his/her account and passcode. Registration for the interactive NetEase Virtual Community asks a user to provide his/her full name, nick name, province, gender, hobbies, and interests etc.
NetEase collects this personal information primarily to make using Mail Master software service easier and more satisfying for its users. The goal of NetEase is to provide all Internet users with an exciting, entertaining, and educational online experience. This personal information facilitates us in achieving our goal.
